themselves as transgender. Concluding that more people across America are starting
to accept transgender and come out as transgender.
Every year there’s an increase of people identifying themselves as transsexuals.
Taking note of those who are transsexuals and haven’t identified themselves as
transsexuals. Yet we still see many of transsexuals being dismissed from their work
just because of their identity. The 14th amendment grants equal rights to all
Americans. In section 1, 14th amendment states, “All persons born or naturalized in
the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United
States and of the state wherein they reside. No state shall make or enforce any law
which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor
shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of
law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.”
With that being said, transgender individuals should be protected from dismissal or
reported in their place of employment. If every citizen in America is protected in
their workplace, that should not exclude people who identify themselves as transgender. If so, then you’re violating the 14th amendment and should be help

The National Transgender Discrimination conducted a survey and concluded that
26% of trans people lost a job due to bias, while 50% were harassed on the job,

The article by HRC.org tries to provide a solution for trans who are in that
transitioning phase by advocating guidelines in the workplace. The guideline
includes support from Human Resources, Managers, and meetings that will address
dress codes and restroom use of a trans preference to avoid confusion. In conclusion
if these guidelines are met then it will most likely prevent discomforting,
discrimination, and harassment as well.
